Mrs. Kuldeep Benepal - Chair of Saaz Aur Awaaz Mrs. Kuldeep Benepal was born in Kenya and came to the UK approximately 30 years ago. She has been appointed Magistrate in 1983 and served on Youth and
Family Panels. She is an active member on valuation Tribunal Appeals and the Fostering Panel. She Chairs the Board of Trustees -
Dorset Race Equality Council and also Vice Chairs the Unity in Vision
Association. Kuldeep is currently a member of the National Health Trust
Foundation and a Cruse Breavement Volunteer. The Asian Women Association has been created with the desire to create a balance between two the two dominant cultures where East Meets West.
Mrs. Shalija O'Leary - Vice Chair of Saaz Aur Awaaaz Shailja was born in India and came to UK at the age of 14. On leaving
school she qualified as a Registered Psychiatric and General Nurse. She
worked in private practice as a Matron and Manager for 12 years. During
this period she gained qualifications in assessing and Verification of
National Vocational Qualifications. She was employed by Bournemouth and
Poole College in 2000, initially as an assessor then the NVQ
coordinator. She is currently the Director of International Studies of South East Asia in Poole and Bournemouth College.
